The things we do...

to get kids to sit still and smile. Deacon's two cousins Caitlin and Koby came to visit and the only one who would sit nicely and smile for the camera was Koby, and what a lovely cheesy grin it was too. He even blinked on time so the flash didnt hurt his eyes. 29/12/2006

Deacon's first ride in his swing that Father Christmas gave him. These photos were taken before the swing started to move. Sorry I couldn't show you the after shots, it wasnt pretty. We seriously considered taking it back for a refund, the swing that is. Fortunately, with a bit of bribery he likes his swing now.

Crazy Christmas

Christmas night, we decided to set up all of Deacon's presents that he got for his very first Christmas, and as you can see from the pile, it was crazy. He's a spoilt boy!! Some of the things we put away for another day when he is older.

At the end of Christmas Day, at Nan & Pop Gore's we tried to get Deacon to pose with all of his Gore cousins on Aunty Melanie's lap. I dont think he and his youngest cousin were to happy about it. 25/12/2006

16/11/2006 - Deacon has an interesting habit with the touch and feel books. When you ask him to touch the page, he dives forward to lick it! I think he loves tasting the different textures. Very strange, but he likes it.

My baby is disappearing

16/11/2006 - less than six weeks off his first birthday and Deacon is looking like a real little boy. Sadly my baby is dissappearing. Boy the year has gone quick.

What a mess Deacon Campbell !!!

16/11/2006 - Oh my gosh, this boy has learnt how to pull everything out of his toy box and spread it around all over the lounge room floor. Every now and then he turns around to check on how his "mess" is progressing. Cant wait till he can learn to put it all back in the box! Or will he ever learn this skill????

Go to sleep!

30/10/2006 - Someone was supposed to be having a morning nap, when I heard a loud ratteling noise. It was Deacon proudly standing up in his cot (for the first time) shaking the rails. We had good fun for at least an hour continually laying someone back to sleep, until eventually he got tired and gave up. Gone are the days of wrapping and sleeping soundly, the days of restless sleeping have just begun.
